In Darkness
T'was blackest midnight; a girl laid sleeping in her bed
She lay perfectly still in the chill of the night
A shroud of silent darkness cloaked her head
The air was stale as she slept unaware of her plight
A spider crept and crawled its way up to her legs
On long, black spiky pins with fangs, sharp and large
Hesitant in its mission, it suddenly took charge
It was deep in her nostril, no longer to be seen
Still the girl did not stir, her face a bluish green
As the weeks passed, the spider's eggs hatched
Hundreds of little spiders wiggled out her ear
To her bed, the girl was now quite firmly attached
Mummified in silk webs, causing her to disappear
From her eternal slumber she would not awaken
By a twist o fate she had been forsaken.
